After using my snowblower for three years the Wheels/axle drive seems to have locked up in won't move forward or backwards. Has anyone had this same problem. if so I would greatly appricate any advise on how to fix it, I have a MTD Pro 29 inch with 10 hp engine which I have had no problems with seems to be plenty of hp for this machine.

I have heard about a forum or soemthing which several people have had the same problems? Don't know how to get to it?

Any suggestions on how to free up the axle please email me at bestes@***e-solutions.com please

Thank you,

Bob

I lost 2 drive transmissions and 1 auger transmission in the first year I owned mine. Warranty covered everything for a year so I sold it the day the warranty ran out.

If I remember correctly the transmissions were $300 each.

Its possible that your belt could have exploded seeing how the tinfoil pulleys and tensioner don't line up. But if you can't roll it in neutral then the week transmission stretched and caused the gears to explode.

I have a mtd 22 inch self propelled snow blower that's two years old. The last time I used it the drive started jerking on and off. Today I used it and the drive does not work.

I have the same problem right now and am trying to find out what is wrong. Probably have to take it in to get serviced but mine is about 4 years old and has very little use. I will let you know what I find out.
